Nathan Snader, 93, retired Cleveland Orchestra violinist and Euclid Orchestra music director

Nathan Snader, 93, retired Cleveland Orchestra violinist and Euclid Orchestra music director, died July 1, 2009.

The Philadelphia native played with the Detroit Symphony, Chicago Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra and National Symphony before beginning the Cleveland chapter of his musical career in 1967. He retired from the Cleveland Orchestra and Euclid Orchestra in 1996.

During his years in Northeast Ohio, he also conducted the Parma Civic Orchestra and Symphony West.

Snader served with the Army’s 6th Infantry Division in the Pacific Theater during World War II.

Services were held July 3, 2009, under the direction of Roth-Goldsteins' Memorial Chapel, Atlantic City, N.J.
